That is what this space is for. These are recovery and wellness sessions you can book on their own, settle into a quiet room, and run largely yourself. They pair naturally with the clinical bodywork offered at Refreshing Effects Massage & Wellness, and they stand on their own just as well. Come in between sessions, before a workout, after a hard week, or whenever your body is asking for a reset.

Here is what is available:

  • Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support your body at the cellular level. People reach for it to ease muscle soreness, support skin tone and texture, and speed the body's natural recovery after activity or strain.

    A session is simple. You relax in the light for the recommended time, no effort required, and let your body do the rest. It is calm, warm, and easy to fold into a busy day.

    Best for: muscle recovery, skin support, post-workout care, anyone who wants a low-effort way to feel restored.

  • Normatec uses dynamic air compression to gently squeeze and release through your legs, encouraging circulation and helping your muscles recover. Athletes have used this kind of compression for years. You do not have to be one to benefit from it.

    You sit back, the system does the work, and most people describe it as the most productive twenty minutes of their day. It is a favorite after long workouts, long shifts on your feet, or travel.

Booking is simple. Choose your service, pick a time that works, and arrive ready to settle in. No massage appointment required, though you are always welcome to add one of these to a bodywork session.

Red Light Therapy

It gently warms the tissue and gets circulation moving at the cellular level. Doing it first primes the body for everything after, the same reason you warm up before you stretch.

Normatec Compression

Now that circulation is up, the compression has something to work with. It flushes the legs, moves fluid, and clears out what the warming loosened. Compression on already-warmed tissue is both more comfortable and more effective.

Ion Detox Foot Soak

This is the closer. After the active work, you end on stillness, a quiet grounding ritual that lets everything settle before you walk back out into your day.

  • No. The wellness suite is fully self-service. You book your time online, arrive, and use the space on your own. No therapist session is required, though you are always welcome to add a wellness session onto a massage if you would like both.

  • Your session is a private hour with all three tools: red light therapy, Normatec compression, and an ion foot bath. You move through them at your own pace in a space that is yours for the hour. A brief instruction card walks you through each one.

  • None at all. Everything is intuitive, and each tool comes with simple instructions. If you would like a walkthrough before your first visit, just ask when you book and Tai will be happy to show you how everything works.

  • Come in comfortable clothing you can relax in. For Normatec compression, looser long pants and socks work best so the boots fit comfortably over your legs.

  • Everything is booked online. Choose your service and time, and you will receive a confirmation with arrival instructions for the suite at 1171 S. High St., Suite 110.

  • Absolutely. The single session is the easiest way to try all three and see how your body responds. If it becomes part of your routine, a membership or session pack brings the per-visit cost down.
